How to connect Sleeper
- Link Sleeper in the FantasyBot app
Get FantasyBot on iOS or the web, choose Sleeper, and type your Sleeper username. That's it. Sleeper leagues are public, so there's no password and no authorization step. Pick your league.
- Add FantasyBot in ChatGPT, or as a Claude connector
In ChatGPT, open the FantasyBot Sports app and tap Try in chat. In Claude, add a custom connector with the FantasyBot server URL (two minutes, instructions on the Claude page).
- Ask about your actual team
Use the same account in ChatGPT or Claude that you used in the FantasyBot app. From then on, questions about your roster, matchup, waivers, and trades read your real league.

Can ChatGPT see my Sleeper fantasy roster?

Is it read-only? Can FantasyBot change my Sleeper lineup?
No. FantasyBot is read-only. It can see your roster and give you a verdict, but it can never make a trade, drop a player, or change your lineup on Sleeper.
Do I need my Sleeper password?

Is it safe to connect my fantasy league?
Yes, and the two things worth checking are both true here. Access is read-only, so nothing can change your lineup or make a trade. You sign in on ESPN's and Yahoo's own pages, so FantasyBot never sees or stores your password, and Sleeper needs only a public username. You can revoke access from your Yahoo or ESPN account at any time.
Do I need to create an account?
You need a free FantasyBot account to link a league, because that is what holds the connection between your league and your AI. It takes a few seconds and no credit card. Asking about any player, including rankings, stats and comparisons, works with no account at all.
Can I connect Sleeper and ESPN at the same time?
Yes. You can connect multiple leagues across ESPN, Yahoo, and Sleeper at once, in different sports, and switch between them by name when you ask. A football league on Sleeper alongside a basketball league on ESPN is a normal setup.
Do I need a desktop computer to set this up?
No. The whole setup works from a phone, ESPN included. That is worth checking against alternatives: several fantasy AI connectors require a desktop Chrome extension for ESPN, because private ESPN leagues expose no clean API token. FantasyBot signs you in on ESPN's own page instead.
Do I need to upload screenshots or type out my roster?
No. Once your league is linked, FantasyBot reads your roster directly every time you ask. Screenshots are a fallback for leagues on platforms we do not integrate with yet, not something you need for ESPN, Yahoo, or Sleeper.
